Normanby School Caretaker
Normanby School are seeking a person to join our team who has the attributes, skills and experience to fulfil a caretaking position. This position is part-time, 15 hours’ per week Monday-Friday.
The position will suit somebody who is physically fit, shows initiative, is a creative problem solver, has excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and time management skills, can interact in a professional manner with staff, students, contractors and our community, be able to demonstrate attention to detail and can maintain an overall safe environment. A proactive, positive mindset and enthusiasm for working outdoors and engaging with staff and children is essential.
The main responsibilities will be to:
ensure the school buildings and grounds are maintained to a very high standard
ensure that all compliance checks are carried out regularly
Police vetting is a requirement for this appointment.
Conditions and remuneration are according to the School Caretakers' and Cleaners' Collective Agreement.
