Hi, my name is Maz Prince and I am a parent representative on the Normanby School Board. In addition, I have been elected as the Presiding Member for this year.

I am married to Dean and have three children, Molly - Year 9 at New Plymouth Girls High School. (Molly did attend Normanby School from Year 0-6.) Kaia who is currently in Year 6 and Connor who is in Year 2. We also have Poppy our dog!

As a family we enjoy the outdoors, the arts and we are huge rugby fans. Travelling to support our favourite teams provides lots of unforgettable road trips alongside some forever memories made.

Being a Trustee of Normanby School Board is a huge responsibility. I am grateful to be a trustee and enjoy all aspects of what the role requires. Predominantly, being a trustee is a ‘behind the scenes’ role however, everyone in our community should know their School Board and what they do. The Board is responsible for the Governance of the school and not the management of the school. The board's role is to oversee the governance of its school and to ensure that everything that needs to be done gets done - legally, ethically, and as well as possible in the best interests of its students.

I look forward to the year ahead and wish all of the school’s students a very productive and exciting year ahead.

Normanby School plays such an important role in the growth and development of our children and also brings families from our great village together in different ways.
I am proud and excited to have an involvement through my role this year.
